The Paterson Arts and Science Charter School’s Athletic Program provides students with the opportunity to develop their athletic abilities as well as their character. Our goal is to help students grow to become all-around leaders. They develop the skills necessary to be a driving force in the Paterson Community. All student-athletes are held to the Wildcat standards of success, where they must maintain high-grade point averages, and be a contributing part of the school as well as the Paterson community. We offer equal opportunities to all students and encourage all students to participate in the athletic program
We emphasize that these students are students before athletes and their responsibilities as students will always come first. Athletics provides the qualities that we instill in all of our students at Paterson Arts and Science Charter School. Leadership, Sportsmanship, Respect, Responsibility, Loyalty, Hard-work, Perseverance, Dedication, Teamwork, and Citizenship, are instilled in our athletes.
Our Elementary Athletic program grades 4-5 offers basketball for boys and girls. Our Middle School Athletic Program grades 6-8 offers Cross Country, Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Soccer, and Track. The High School program is in the first stages of its development, which only offers a few sports such as Boys and Girls Basketball, Volleyball and Track and Field. However, as the High School obtains more grade levels, the athletic program with grow with it. We look to enter the NJISAA by Fall of 2019.
